Nike Dunks / 2010-03-13

From the famous French pastry shop, the new Nike Air Royal Macarons Pack was developed with inspiration from the pastel goodies. This collection is a composition of single-colored sneakers in solid pastel colorways that include Red, White, Blue, and Yellow. The Macarons Pack will drop sometime this week.

While the Larry Perkins Nike Dunk SB is set to release as a 2010 March Quickstrike, the premium release for next month is Nike SB Pro Brian Anderson Dunk Low release, based on the colorway of the Muni seats in SF.

Doing their part in the fight against Aids in Africa, Nike teamed up with Product(RED) to launch the ‘Lace Up. Save Lives’ campaign on World Aids Day last year. Following up, Nike(RED) has released a collection of limited edition products to create more awareness for the campaign.

The collection consists of a pair of Nike Dunk Lows, a series of Brasil N98 Track Jackets and a limited edition T90 Ascente Ball. Like the previously released Nike(RED) laces, the net profit from the sales of these goods will be channeled directly to the Global Fund.

Also, in support of the global cause, three leading European Football Leagues – Barclay’s Premier League, Spain’s La Liga and Italy’s Serie A – will be taking on a (RED) theme by using the Nike(RED) football for their matches this weekend.

The Nike(RED) products will be available at Nike Singapore Flagship Store, Wisma Atria Shopping Centre, 435 Orchard Road, Singapore from March ‘10.

Previews from Nike’s second quarter releases begin to trickle in as these new Dunk Hi’s are spotted. They feature an interesting patchwork motif throughout the entire upper, paired with a vibrant color arrangement, nylon tongue and gum outsoles. Definitely something to look forward to as the latest string of drops begin to unfold.

Nike SB has been known to make some Dunks inspired by all sorts of things you wouldn’t think could ever make it to a shoe, (especially in their early days) which brings us to these “Wallenberg Palm Tree” editions! These are inspired by a little palm tree which somehow made its home on the stair set of San Francisco’s Raoul Wallenberg Alternative School.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the plam tree Nike SB and Bob Kronbauer has designed these Green uppered Dunk Low’s. The kicks feature a nice Green and Light Green upper with a nice Hemp Swoosh. The midsole is done in White with a Black upper rim which represents the waxed step at Wallenberg. To finish these off the insoles sport a printed image of the Wallenberg Palm Tree! You can look for these to hit select Nike SB retailers soon including Primitive.
